Fuel Prices

Petrol prices have fallen, but fueling up at the pumps still costs a lot of money. When it comes to high gas costs, knowing where and when to fill up pays off.

The best & worst days?

Fortunately, GasBuddy has you covered. GasBuddy has released its most recent analysis on the best and worst days to buy petrol.

Worst Day!

Saturday is traditionally the worst day to buy gas. Hence, it's surprising that Thursday was 2021's most expensive fuel day.

It's Thursday!

According to the data, Thursday was the day with the highest average petroleum price in 28 states.

Second most worst day

The survey results clearly demonstrate that you should avoid the gas pumps throughout the week, since Wednesday is now the second most expensive gas pricing day.

The Best Day

According to GasBuddy's analysis of gas price data from January 1, 2021 to December 16, 2021, the greatest day to purchase petroleum is Monday in 17 states.

Best day in recent years

Monday was also the day with the most affordable gas prices in GasBuddy's 2017, 2018, and 2019 studies, so these results are not unexpected.

Friday is also one of low price days!

However, the report found that Friday, which is typically one of the most expensive days to purchase gasoline, is now one of the least expensive.

Second low priced day

Sunday is the lowest day to fuel up after Monday. Even if you can't always arrange your fill-ups perfectly, the golden rule is to always compare prices before you fill up.
